Thank you for the great coverage of the JQH Arena and its impact on the proposed Downtown Arena. As the designer of both arenas, we are thrilled with the tremendous interest in both projects.
However, we would like to clarify a statement made in the section “JQH Arena Specs.”
The first paragraph attributes the seating plans to “project architect Larry Pellham of Pellham Phillips.” Mr. Hammons trusted us to create a bold, dramatic design for the JQH Arena, as well as designing Hammons Field and the Hammons Hall for Performing Arts. At this time, we have not been selected as the project architect for the JQH Arena. In addition, during the interview with Larry Phillips, it was not his intention to claim or imply in anyway that we were the project architect.
However, as the selection proceeds, we would hope the university will consider our successful performance in transforming the vision of Mr. Hammons’ into reality and choose us to complete the JQH Arena.
Thank you again for your coverage of these exciting projects.
Sincerely,
Brad Parke
