Leonardo da Vinci’s “Salvator Mundi” sold at auction yesterday for $450.3 million with fees, the highest amount ever for art sold at auction.
Before the auction, 27,000 people lined up at viewings in Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and New York to glimpse da Vinci’s painting of Christ.
The buyer was not immediately disclosed, according to The New York Times.
