Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) returned to profitability in 2025 after posting a net loss in 2024.

The Carthage-based manufacturer's 2025 earnings were $235.4 million, which compares with a net loss of $511.5 million in 2024, according to a news release.

"We are pleased the restructuring plan we launched in early 2024 was substantially completed by the end of 2025, resulting in greater (earnings before interest and taxes) benefit with lower costs than originally expected," President and CEO Karl Glassman said in the release. "Throughout 2025, our teams executed our strategic priorities, including strengthening our balance sheet, improving operational efficiency and positioning the company for long-term growth."

Through the restructuring plan unveiled in early 2024, Leggett & Platt pointed to plans for facility closures and real estate sales, according to past reporting.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Leggett & Platt produced profits of $25.2 million, a 77% increase from $14.2 million a year earlier, according to the release.

As of Dec. 31, Leggett & Platt's assets were $3.5 billion.

LEG shares were trading at $11.44 as of 10:54 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $6.48 to $13 per share.
