Leggett & Platt declares 4Q dividend

Carthage-based Leggett & Platt on Thursday declared a 25-cent dividend for the fourth quarter.

The dividend will be paid Jan. 15 to shareholders of record on Dec. 15.

Leggett's combined dividends for 2008 equal $1 per share, compared to 78 cents in total declared dividends in 2007. This is the 37th consecutive year Leggett has increased its annual dividend.

Shares (NYSE: LEG) closed Thursday at $16.23, compared to a 52-week range of $14.12 to $24.60.
