The Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) Board of Directors elected two new members to its ranks.
Mark Blinn and Jai Shah, both from outside Missouri, bring the board up to 11 members, according to a news release.
Blinn, 57, is the current lead independent director for semiconductor manufacturer Texas Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: TXN) and a board member for polymer producer Kraton Corp. (NYSE: KRA). He previously was president and CEO for Flowserve Corp. (NYSE: FLS), a supplier of industrial and environmental machinery until his 2017 retirement.
Shah, 53, is group president of Masco Corp. (NYSE: MAS), which manufactures products for the home improvement and construction markets. He’s also the past president of Masco business unit Delta Faucet Co., according to the release.
"Mark and Jai each bring unique and extensive experience in operational and financial leadership across multibillion-dollar global businesses," said Ted Enloe, Leggett & Platt’s board chairman, in the release. "We are extremely pleased to have them join our board."
Leggett & Platt, a Carthage-based manufacturer of engineered components and products for homes, offices and vehicles, last month reported first-quarter earnings of $61.2 million, a 21% decrease from a year earlier.
LEG shares were trading at $37.88 as of 10:58 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $33.48 to $46.71.
A food truck that launched last year rebranded and moved to Metro Eats; automotive repair business Mitchem Tire Co. expanded its Christian County presence; and O’Reilly Build LLC was acquired.
