Legal weed sales bring long lines to Colorado

Long lines and blustery winter weather greeted Colorado marijuana shoppers testing the nation's first legal recreational pot shops Wednesday.

Twenty-four shops opened Wednesday in Colorado, most of them in Denver. The shops represent the modern world's first fully legal marijuana industry, according to an Associated Press report in ABC News.

Colorado has no statewide pricing structure, and by midafternoon, one dispensary was charging $70 for one-eighth of an ounce of high-quality pot. Medical marijuana patients just a day earlier paid as little as $25 for the same amount, according to the report.
