Pasta Express Restaurant, 518 E. Central
Designed by A La Cart? Architects, under project manager Ben L.E. Webb, NCARB-AIA, this 1,390-square-foot restaurant providing drive-through, delivery and seated service on East Central was completed in 1995. A La Cart?, a member of the National Restaurant Association, specializes in restaurant and hospitality design.
Why is this project your legacy? Having designed all of the other Pasta Express buildings as either remodels or retrofits, this was exciting to design with the intent of creating a prototype standard for a new facility. The site is so small, the company had to request parking cooperation from Drury College. President John Moore assisted the firm in this endeavor, and it has proven to be successful for both Drury College and Pasta Express.
