Zenith Electronics (now Bass Pro Sportsman's Park Center), 2500 E. Kearney
Designed by Warren & Goodin, Architects-Engineers PC, the former Zenith Electronics building, now Bass Pro Sportsman's Park Center, was an industrial plant built in three phases for a total of 1.6 million square feet. The first unit was completed in 1969 and the last addition was finished in 1973.
Why is this Project your legacy? Warren & Goodin considers this project a legacy in engineering. It was for a recognized national client coming to Springfield. This client had existing plants and had previously engaged nationally recognized engineering firms as listed in Engineering News Record. The local firm was able to exceed its time schedule and provide the quality, budget and design Zenith required. This 100-acre development with a 36-acre structure still places it among the largest in southwest Missouri. At one time, more than 4,500 persons supported their families and the local economy at this facility. This facility continues to support the community.
