Lebanon manufacturer plans $4.2M expansion

Lebanon manufacturer Detroit Tool Metal Products Co. plans to invest $4.2 million into the area economy with an expansion and new jobs.

The company announced it would expand its Lebanon plant by 42,000 square feet and hire 30 additional employees, according to a news release.

A subsidiary of Chicago-based Ironform Corp., Detroit Tool Metal Products specializes in the manufacturing of standard and custom steel and aluminum components, such as metal stampings and machining components, for such original equipment manufacturers as John Deere.

The expansion would add two new coating lines to the plant.

A post at Ironform.com indicates a new electrocoat line would push 33,000 pounds of parts per hour. The second, a powder coat line, would have a capacity of 20,000 pounds per hour.

Missouri Department of Economic Development spokeswoman Amy Susan said via email if Detroit Tool Metal Products meets its projected job growth, it would be eligible for $202,728 in incentives through the Missouri Works program and $50,000 through the Missouri Works Training program.
