Leawood-based Front Flip app hits 1M users

Scan a code, digitally scratch a lottery ticket and win free prizes: It's as easy at that.

Similar in nature to the Springfield-based deals app Spin Streak, the Leawood, Kan.-based app Front Flip just crossed the 1 million users mark.

Founded in November 2011, the Kansas City Star reports the company’s milestone reflects its reach beyond a local base in the Kansas City area. There is now a large Front Flip following in Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York and Minneapolis.

While the app provides a discount for consumers, it also collects user data, allowing companies to track user visits.
