Springfield Business Journal and Great Southern Bank host this monthly forum where business leaders gather over lunch to hear insightful synopses of top-selling business books.

On the first Friday of each month, business performance expert and author Mark Holmes gives the highlights and talking points of a popular business book by another author. Attendees also will enjoy lunch and networking, ask questions and work through a handout. Holmes uses audience questions to write his monthly Leadership First column in SBJ.

The events are at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Great Southern Operations Center, 218 S. Glenstone Ave.
