Ozarks Food Harvest has announced the new officers of its volunteer board of directors for fiscal 2011 and 2012.
Bob Lawson Jr., general counsel with BKD LLP, is the new board president. Lawson currently serves as board secretary. Current board member Todd Sherman, Kraft's Springfield plant manager, is the organization's new vice president. O'Reilly Auto Parts legal counsel Tamara de Wild is the food bank's board secretary, and board member Mike Pinkston with Bank of America is the new treasurer.
Lawson and Pinkston both served on Ozarks Food Harvest's recent capital campaign leadership committee, according to a news release. That four-year campaign raised the money for the organization to move into its $4.8 million, 46,000-square-foot warehouse, which opened in June, according to past Springfield Business Journal coverage.
Sherman and de Wild also have spent several years working with Ozarks Food Harvest, the release said.
The food bank collects food and distributes it to more than 340 shelters, soup kitchens, senior centers, pantries and day care facilities, which provide aid to more than 41,000 people each month in 29 counties.[[In-content Ad]]
