Launch timeline set for Oculus Rift virtual reality headset

The Facebook-owned virtual reality headset Oculus Rift now has an early 2016 release date.

The company also announced plans to accept preorders later this year, though a price was not disclosed, according to Tech Times.

After a Kickstarter campaign in 2012, the device originally was supposed to hit the market in 2014. Facebook bought the company last year.
