After gunmen killed 29 people in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend, the number of U.S. mass shootings this year rose to 292.
That's according to data collected by the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as one where at least four people are shot.
In Dayton, the gunman who killed nine people was shot dead by police. The El Paso shooter is in police custody after killing 20 people and injuring 26 at a Walmart store.
