Springfield-based Urban Neighborhoods Alliance is scheduled to hold its ninth annual Crime-Free Multi-Housing Landlord Training Workshop April 9.
Training topics include rental agreements, eviction, crime prevention, public relations with the police and Springfield's public nuisance ordinance, among others. The workshop is designed for landlords or managers of single-family homes, duplexes or triplexes, and apartment complexes, according to a news release.
“Last year we had more 2,000 housing units represented by the people who attended the event,” UNA Executive Director Bob Horton said in the release. “This workshop is a way to help landlords improve the quality of life for their residents while making their properties more profitable.”
More than 345 landlords representing more than 14,000 housing units have attended past workshops, according to the release.
The event is co-sponsored by UNA, the Springfield Police Department, City Utilities, Community Partnership of the Ozarks and the Springfield Apartment & Housing Association.
The event, to be held at City Utilities Training Center Auditorium, has a pre-registration cost of $35.
