Linda Antus, the $420 million retail center’s director of marketing hired in 2005, has taken a position in the tourism industry in Cincinnati. Her last day on the job was Jan. 12.
Antus, a Cincinnati native, will become vice president of marketing for the CincinnatiUSA Regional Tourism Network, which serves the tourism industry in the greater Cincinnati area. She starts there Jan. 22.
Antus said in an e-mail statement that there was not a plan to fill her Branson Landing position and more responsibility would be given to marketing manager Tammy Scholten. “Tammy and I have worked in various places together since we met here in Branson in 1996,” Antus said.
Scholten, a former employee of Silver Dollar City, has worked at the Landing since February 2006. She said the first big event of the new year at Branson Landing will be the opening of the Hilton Promenade and its signature restaurant, Liberty Tavern, on Feb. 14.
Antus was responsible for marketing strategies – including promoting the Lake Taneycomo lakefront center as a destination within the tourism destination of Branson. She was employed by Urban Retail Properties Co. on behalf of Landing developer HCW.
Before taking the job at Branson Landing, which opened in May, Antus owned and operated Marketing Etc., which worked on a branding initiative for the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau. Antus also worked for Madison Square Garden, Home Box Office and Herschend Family Entertainment.
