Lakeside Learning Station

Posted online

Carson-Mitchell Inc. is the general contractor for Watershed Committee of the Ozarks’ Lakeside Learning Station on Valley Water Mill Lake. BNIM of Kansas City and Butler, Rosenbury & Partners are the architects for the station, and BRP also is the engineer. The project, which has an estimated completion date of Aug. 15, has an approximate cost of $350,000. The lakeside learning station is the first permanent structure for the organization’s Watershed Center, an environmental education facility. It comprises a large pavilion with a fireplace and room to accommodate between 75 and 100 people. The pavilion is complete, but crews are finishing the parking and driveway areas, which will feature best-management practices such as materials to enhance rainwater drainage and flow.
