A proposal to amend the state constitution to allow a new casino in Lake of the Ozarks won't appear on the November ballot.
The private investor group behind the proposal did not gather enough signatures in time.
Separately, a proposed Osage Indian casino in Lake of the Ozarks does not require a constitutional change since it would operate under permission of the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs.
