Lake of the Ozarks casino plan falls short of reaching ballot box

A proposed casino in Lake of the Ozarks did not gather enough valid signatures to appear on the November ballot, the Missouri secretary of state's office announced.

The measure reportedly fell short in the signature-gathering process in three of the state’s eight congressional districts.

The initiative seeks to add a 14th casino in Missouri.
