Friga Construction is the general contractor for L & J Plumbing Supply’s new store under construction along Highway 65 across from Tri-Lakes Ford. Underwood Architects of Harrison, Ark., is the architect. Great River Engineering is the civil engineer. Burrows & Associates of Fort Smith, Ark., is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Schmalz Engineering of Conway, Ark., is the structural engineer. The 33,850-square-foot structure, scheduled for completion July 1, will replace L & J’s existing location at 208 S. Sycamore in downtown Branson. The move is made necessary by the Branson Landing development, said Jeff Justus, owner of L & J Plumbing. The steel structure will have about 6,000 square feet of showroom space, offices and a see-and-sell area where customers can come in and check out the merchandise in stock. About 3,000 square feet will be dedicated to L & J’s pool supply and hot-tub products, which the business sells but does not install. Commerce Bank is financing the project, but Justus declined to disclose the estimated cost of the project.
