Kushner Cos. paid a fine to New York City regulators for allegedly claiming it had no rent-regulated tenants in its buildings.
The family-run real estate company was fined $210,000 for the alleged lie. The company actually had hundreds of rent-regulated tenants, according to the New York Business Journal.
Officials with Kushner Cos. claimed it relied on "third-party consultants" to prepare its construction permit applications. The officials said the errors "have been corrected or will be."
