KSPR: Possible bombs found at Branson Landing

Two people are in the Branson city jail after police found two possible bombs at Branson Landing early Thursday morning, according to KSPR, Springfield Business Journal's media partner.

Branson city spokesman Jerry Adams told KSPR that a Landing security guard saw a man trying to break into an automated teller machine near the Hilton Promenade Hotel at about 12:30 a.m. When confronted, the man ran away and left a backpack, in which the security guard found a suspected bomb.

An additional device was found in the man's car, parked in the hotel parking garage. A portion of Branson Landing Boulevard is closed, though the Landing itself was deemed safe and is open.
