Grocery chain Kroger announced the sudden resignation of CEO Rodney McMullen, who led the company for around a decade.
The company cited conduct by McMullen that was "inconsistent with Kroger's policy on business ethics." Kroger said no other employees were involved and that the issue wasn't related to company financials.
Kroger has appointed board member Ronald Sargent as interim CEO and board chair.
