Kroenke to borrow $1B for Inglewood project

Rams owner Stan Kroenke plans to borrow about $1 billion from JPMorgan Chase to finance his $2.6 billion stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

The loan is said to be one of the largest ever made by a financial institution for a stadium project.

In addition to its approval for the Rams to move to the stadium from St. Louis, the NFL also gave conditional approval for the San Diego Chargers to join them — if the two teams can come to terms on a stadium-sharing deal.
