Krispy Kreme sells majority stake in Insomnia Cookies

Krispy Kreme reached a deal to sell its majority stake in Insomnia Cookies.

Private equity firms Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners are the buyers.

Krispy Kreme received $127.4 million for the sale that reportedly closed on July 17. Krispy Kreme expects another $45 million as Insomnia Cookies’ debt is refinanced.
