Kraft Velveeta product recalled

Posted online
Salem, Ore.-based manufacturer Truitt Brothers has been ordered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service to recall 1.77 million pounds of Kraft Velveeta product.

Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles - Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac were mislabeled, failing to identify soy as an ingredient. The product contains hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce, both of which are potential allergens.

"The inaccurate labeling is the only thing wrong with the product," Kraft Foods spokeswoman Joyce Hodel told CNNMoney.

Food with a sale date from March 2 to Oct. 23 was recalled. The recall does not apply to any other Kraft or Velveeta products.
