Kraft fourth-quarter profit soars

Kraft Inc. reported fourth-quarter profit of $931 million, according to MarketWatch. The same time last year, Kraft reported profit of $90 million.

MarketWatch reports that Kraft's operating margin soared to 32.9 percent from 5.8 percent as overhead costs were slashed 53 percent.

Sales increased 5.5 percent for beverages, 7.3 percent for refrigerated meals and 5.7 percent for meals and desserts.
