As KPM CPAs PC prepares to relocate into new digs to accommodate a merger, the accounting firm has listed its current office building on the real estate market.
KPM's 2003 E. Sunshine St. building is listed for sale at $2.2 million by R.B. Murray Co.
The roughly 19,000-square-foot building was built in 1979 and will become available in October 2014, according to its
listing.
KPM is moving to larger headquarters in order to accomodate more employees after its merger with Davis, Lynn & Moots PC. The accounting firms announced the merger in September. The merged KPM CPAs would have about 100 employees when the action is complete Jan. 1, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
After a search of existing real estate and vacant land, the decision was made to build from the ground up. KPM plans to lease 33,000 square feet on two floors from Bill Beall Co., which will own the three-story building slated for construction at Republic Road and Fremont Avenue next to Arvest Bank.
