Koplar bringing Me-TV to the Ozarks

Posted online
Koplar Communications is introducing Me-TV to the Ozarks.

Broadcast company owner and President Ted Koplar signed a deal to make Me-TV Ozarks a sister station to KRBK-TV, the Koplar-owned local Fox affiliate. Terms were not disclosed in a news release.

Short for Memorable Entertainment Television, the channel will feature shows including "M.A.S.H.," "The Twilight Zone" and "I Love Lucy."

“People in this area are nostalgic and look back at TV shows they grew up on with great fondness, and they want to share these memories with their family. The decision was simple," Koplar said in the release.

Effective Jan. 1, Me-TV will be available locally via channel 49.2, as well as cable carriers including Mediacom, Suddenlink and Charter.

Me-TV began broadcasting nationally in December 2010, and now appears on more than 100 affiliates in 48 states, according to its website.
