Kirksville closes in on $229M expansion deal with Kraft Heinz

The Missouri city of Kirksville is closing in on a $229 million expansion deal with Kraft Heinz Co.

Its city council is scheduled to vote Monday on a financing deal that would incentivize the company to grow its plant there.

Last November, the company announced it would end bacon production in Kirksville and eliminate 275 local jobs. City discussions began immediately after the announcement.
