Welko is a partner in Villas at Branson Hills LLC, the builder and developer of the $14 million project.
Welko said the subdivision covers 15 acres on the southwest corner of the Branson Hills Parkway and Town Center Drive intersection. The neighborhood will consist of 72 privately-owned condominiums, with four homes per building. The Epcon homes will range from 1,300 to 1,900 square feet and will have a European-style exterior. Each home will have a private entrance and a two-car garage and will be priced in the low $200,000 range. The subdivision, located about a mile from the Payne Stewart Tribute Golf Course, will also have a clubhouse with fitness, billiard and community rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and putting green.
Welko said his company is in the process of filing building permits, and he hopes to start breaking ground by the end of the year with homes ready by mid-summer. Welko said JPS Associates Inc. of Springfield is the architect, and U.S. Bank will be financing the construction. Subcontractors have not been determined.
