KFC issued a high-profile, humorous apology for its chicken shortage in the United Kingdom.
The ad shows an empty bucket on a bright red background with the company's initials scrambled to say "FCK" on it, alongside an apology.
"A chicken restaurant without any chicken. It's not ideal. Huge apologies to our customers, especially those who traveled out of their way to find we were closed," the ad said.
The shortage caused 800 of 900 KFC locations in the country to be closed last Monday. By Friday, the majority of the stores had reopened.
