Longtime Seattle Mariners player Ken Griffey Jr. is joining the baseball team's ownership group.
The Hall of Fame outfielder will be the first former player to have a stake in the team, franchise officials announced Monday.
"This is a dream come true because of the relationship I’ve always had with the team, its fans and the city of Seattle," Griffey said.
