KC's fifth-largest private company sells for $305M

An agricultural trading company that's one of the largest private businesses in the Kansas City area entered into a sale.

The Andersons, a diversified agricultural company that trades publicly, is buying Overland Park-based agricultural trader Lansing Trade Group LLC.

The Andersons is paying $305 million for the 67.5 percent of Lansing it doesn't already own.
