Things were a bit slower at Kansas City International Airport last year.
The Kansas City Business Journal reports KCI passenger traffic fell 1.1 percent to 9.6 million passengers, when compared to 2012. Passenger boardings in 2013 also were down, falling to 4.8 million — a 1.1 percent decrease.
On the positive side, cargo tonnage – freight and air mail – increased 2.7 percent in 2013.
The first southwest Missouri location of EarthWise Pet, a national chain of pet supply stores, opened; Grey Oak Investments LLC relocated; and Hot Bowl by Everyday Thai LLC got its start.
