KC trucking company owner pleads guilty to tax evasion

The former owner of defunct Copp Trucking Co. in Kansas City, Kan., pleaded guilty to evading nearly $1 million in taxes.

Clifford Copp could face up to five years in prison, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Copp Trucking, which went out of business in 2001, owed $939,408 in employment taxes that year. They were never paid.
