The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority is considering whether to charge for bus rides again, KCUR reports.
Kansas City became the first major U.S. city to eliminate fares three years ago. However, the transportation authority hasn't found a long-term solution to replace the lost revenue.
Richard Jarrold, vice president of regional planning and development at the KCATA, said the organization is looking at multiple options.
