KC superintendent to take Atlanta post

Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent R. Stephen Green has been named the superintendent of the DeKalb County School District in Georgia, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Dekalb County includes a portion of the city of Atlanta.

The school board announced Green as the sole finalist for its top administrative post on Wednesday night.

Green is currently in the middle of a five-year contract with KCPS, according to AJC.com.
