Missouri House Rep. DaRon McGee, D-Kansas City, resigned amid sexual harassment allegations.
In his resignation letter, McGee said he was leaving to pursue a new job.
The House Ethics Committee has been investigating McGee when a complaint was submitted stating he “attempted to engage in an amorous relationship with a House employee whom he supervised.”
Test messages allegedly showed McGee made several attempts to initiate a sexual relationship but was rejected. He then took actions that resulted in her losing her job, according to The Kansas City Star.
