Kansas City Southern has switched suitors in a bidding battle between two Canadian companies.
KC Southern announced it would now accept a bid from Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. and cancel one from Canadian National Railway Co.
While Canadian National's bid is financially superior, the deal with Canadian Pacific is less likely to be scuttled by regulators, officials said.
