Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas reinstated an indoor face mask mandate.
The original order expired at the end of May.
The new mandate follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance calling on fully vaccinated people to wear masks indoors in regions where COVID-19 case counts are high.
