KC real estate firm files for bankruptcy

Kansas City-based real estate investment trust CorEnergy has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company plans to restructure its debt as part of the reorganization.

In the filing, the company listed assets of $14.5 million and liabilities of $118.4 million.
