The Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners reached a $5 million settlement with the family of Terrence Bridges Jr.
Bridges was shot and killed by a Kansas City police officer in 2019.
The settlement is one of the largest to date from the Kansas City Police Department, which the police board oversees.
