KC Police reviewing 20 reports that could tie to highway shootings

The Kansas City Police Department is now examining 20 different reports officers feel could connect to a rash of highway shootings in the metropolitan area.

During last weekend, police analysts identified 13 reports they think may eventually link, with the last recorded shooting occurring Sunday night. The department’s police chief has since asked for federal agents to assist in the investigation, according to the Kansas City Star.

The shootings – all of which have happened near highway ramps or road splits where shooters in cars could veer off – have injured three victims.
