KC passes antidiscrimination ordinance for people with criminal records

The Kansas City Council gave the green light to an antidiscrimination ordinance for people with criminal backgrounds.

Formerly incarcerated people have become a protected class in Kansas City under the rule.

That means people with criminal records cannot be denied employment, housing or business because of their backgrounds.
