Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announced a new set of coronavirus safety rules in response to a rapid increase in cases.
The rules include stricter occupancy limitations, indoor gatherings that are limited to 10 people maximum and reporting requirements of COVID-19 cases for restaurants and bars.
"We are in the toughest moment since this virus came into our communities, and overcoming this crisis requires an aggressive and immediate response," Lucas said.
