Kansas City may provide $185 million for the KC Current's stadium expansion plans in the Riverfront.
A proposed ordinance would allow City Manager Mario Vasquez to enter a memorandum of understanding with the soccer team. It also would allow for $150,000 to pay for a feasibility study.
The Current's expansion plans call for 6,500 new seats, bringing capacity to 18,000 seats.
