KC makes elite eight for 2016 Republican convention

The 2016 GOP convention is one step closer to calling Missouri's City of Fountains home.

The Kansas City Business Journal reports Kansas City has made the top eight in the race to host the convention.

Bidding cities will meet in Washington, D.C., on March 3 to present their bids. KCBJ reports Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Denver, Dallas, Las Vegas and Phoenix also have submitted bids.
