Raymore City Council approved an agreement that likely spells the end of plans for a landfill near its border with Kansas City.
The agreement calls on Raymore to pay project developer KC Recycle & Waste Solutions $3.7 million to scrap the project. The sum includes $440,000 for Raymore to purchase one of the developers’ 12-acre parcels.
Raymore residents have been fighting the landfill project for more than a year and a half.
