KC joins Midwest eco-devo initiative

Kansas City is joining with three other Midwestern metro areas – Des Moines, Omaha and St. Louis – to launch the Heartland Civic Collaborative.

In the works for years, the initiative is tasked with capitalizing on the area's collective assets to boost economic development.

The Heartland Civic Collaborative first will focus on four areas: federal advocacy, transportation, entrepreneurship and life sciences.
